Johan's now offers 24 fully featured, quality rooms, newly built on the beach at Subic Bay. Rooms are available for all needs and budgets, from electric fan style through to air conditioned beachfront family rooms with queen size bed.

We got a generater who insures your comfort during electric power interruptions.

All rooms come with queen sized beds, private bathroom, hot and cold water, safe, WIFI connection and TV with DVD and flash drive conection, cable available. Internet computers are available at no cost to guests. 
New: We got more than 2000 movies on computer to play in the privacy of your room of a flash drive.

Johan and Maria's 24 Hour Restaurant & Bar

Johan's offers European & Asian cuisines, the restaurant comfortably seats 100 with room for 200 more on the beach.

Our menu contains hundreds of dishes, you're sure to find a favourite. For something different, one of our cooks can barbecue your own selection of fresh seafood and meats at your table.

Enjoy ice-cold premium, Belgian, German and local beers (we got more than 50 differend beer brands in stock), French wines collection, cocktail mixes and imported spirits. Relax and play pool on one of our two tables ( One is a Brunswick table, all with Simonis cloth and Amarith Belgian balls) while listening to one of Subic Bay's largest music collections ( 20000 songs from 1960' to 1980'). 

Visit our recently opened bakery store and ice cream parlor, the only one in Subic Bay that serves authentic Belgian breads, baked goodies, cakes and ice cream on the beach. All products are made by bakers trained by a Belgian chef and baker with authentic imported ingredients. Enjoy the Subic Bay sunshine with home made ice cream on the beach.

Dive The Wrecks and Reefs Of Subic Bay


Johan offers Novice, Recreational, Wreck, Nitrox, Deep, technical and Trimix diving. Instruction with PADI, ANDI, diving with PADI, ANDI, CMAS, BSAC, NAUI, IANTD, SSI, TDI, YMCA¦ or any worldwide recognized certification and he is PCSSD accredited and member of the Subic Bay dive association. We dive 30 wrecks and 30 coral sites with our 4 fast speed boats.

Three instructors teach in English, French, German, Dutch, and Tagalog with the latest technology including books and DVDs in your own language. With 30 years of experience, we make sure you dive with the right equipment.

Best value for your money in education, sales, service, equipment and most of all your dive safety. We dive and teach beginner courses, snorkeling, discovery, open water, advanced, rescue, dive master and 20 other specialties. For more experienced divers we offer wreck, nitrox, advanced nitrox, side mount, blending, technical, technical wreck, technical deep and trimix diving. Instructor courses are available on request.

Johan's Beach and Dive Resort is located midway in Baloy Beach, North of Olongapo City, Zambales Province, Philippines. The map and directions below serve as a guide.



With Your Own Transportation


From Manila:

Take the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) at Balintawak than either; 

1- Continue on the North expressway till Angeles-City than Dau and connect to the new expressway (sctex) this is a 51-kilometer four-lane expressway for a 30 minute journey from Clark (Angeles) to SBMA (former Navy base) take the Subic Bay Freeport Expressway witch brings you inside the freeport follow the signs North and exit via the Kalaklan gate (cemetery), take left towards Barrio Barretto, pass the village and take a left at the Johan's resort signboard. Follow this small road for about 500 meters and you will see the Resort on your left at the seaside. (Approx. 2.5hrs travel time)

2- leave at San Fernando exit, go North to Subic then either:

A. Before you reach Olongapo you can drive through the SBMA (former Navy base) take the Subic Bay Freeport Expressway witch brings you inside the freeport follow the signs North and exit via the Kalaklan gate (cemetery) take a left towards Barrio Barretto, pass the village and take a left at the Johan's resort signboard. Follow this small road for about 500 meters and you will see the Resort on your left at the seaside. (Approx. 3.5 hrs travel time)
or

B. Continue along the road to Olongapo City and at the rotonda take a right direction North up to Barrio Barretto, pass the village and take a left at the Johan's resort signboard. Follow this small road for about 500 meters and you will see the Resort on your left at the seaside. (Approx. 3.5 hrs travel time)

From Angeles City:


Take the national road to San Fernando, go North to Olongapo and at the rotonda take a right direction North up to Barrio Barretto, pass the village and take a left at the Johan's resort signboard. Follow this small road for about 500 meters and you will see the Resort on your left at the seaside. (Approx. 2 hrs travel time)
Or take The Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) this is a 51-kilometer four-lane expressway for a 30 minute journey from Clark (Angeles)to SBMA, take the Subic Bay Freeport Expressway witch brings you inside the freeport follow the signs North and exit via the Kalaklan gate (cemetery), take left towards Barrio Barretto, pass the village and take a left at the Johan's resort signboard. Follow this small road for about 500 meters and you will see the Resort on your left at the seaside. (Approx. 1 hrs travel time)

With Johan's Resort or Public Transportation


From Manila:


You can take a taxi from the airport to the Victory Liner bus station in Pasay City and take the air conditioned Victory Liner to Olongapo. From there take the blue jeepney adjacent to the terminal to Barrio Barretto, than a tricycle to Baloy Beach and Johan's Resort. (Approx P400 per person - 4 hours travel time)

The best way however is to get one of our private cars to wait at the airport for your arrival, load all your luggage in the car or van and bring you straight to Johan's Beach & Dive Resort.

P4000 for a private car (4 persons max) or P4500 for a private van and of course, you can split this amount by the number of passengers. (Approx 2.5 hours travel time)

From Angeles City:


There is no public transportation available at Clark airport so the best way is to get one of our private cars or vans to bring you straight to Johan's Beach & Dive Resort.
